Art Gopher

Part of a triptych that when turned upsidedown looks like a self portrait.

Here's a devious thought: I just woke up, a good six months after my last thought, and I find myself in Sunny bumfuck Saskatchewan, far from the ocean, beaches and mountains of Vancouver. What was I running away from? What did I hope to find? Here I am, surrounded by all the same crap on my desk, haunted by the same dark thoughts...but with a hint of sublime, a sprinkle of irony that I am here 11 years later, no better than I was before. Ah shit, its me me me, I I I. As usual. Need some email pals, better yet, real pals. Moved around so much the past 11 years it aint funny, what kind of a friend would stick around this length of time...lets see
1994 April - August - Prince Albert, SK
1994 Sept - April 1995 - Thunder Bay, On
1995 - April - June - Sussex, New Brunswick
1995 - July - July 1998 - Queen Charlotte City, Haida Gwaii
1998 - July - July 2000 - Prince George, BC
2000 - July - November 2004 - Vancouver BC
2004 - November - ?? Prince Albert SK - again for fuck sakes!!
It's a fucked up world...before then 1,2,3,4,5,6 other cities, double the number of crappy apartments...if anything this should be cheery, hell it aint so bad. Makin money! And thats the point of life, right? Happiness be damed, it dont exist. Crawl back to bed, stay there? What a miserable old sod, must have forgotten to take his happy pills again...next time compile a list of happy moments over life, it might not take as long (boo hoo). But all is not lost

Yep I'd better do more with this page and start submitting some artwork. I've got tons of photshopped pictures, logos and cartoons. Also, I found a box full of photos, slides and super-8 film from like 20 years ago. Someone had dumped them in the back alley and it seemed a shame to toss them out. I watched a movie of a wedding from 1980 last night, the colours were awesome but I have to figure out how to transfer it and the others to digital. I guess this means I need a new camera. Any suggestions?

By the way, I tend to ramble about what I'm thinking alot so ignore that shit and I will try to smoke more weed. The weather here in Iraq is so good, my plants are budding out quite nicely!

Real-fucking-high reminds me of pictures I took of my eyes last year. My dilated pupils are about as wide as my whole cornea!

What day is it again? The 18th of August. Oh yeah, its still summer. Fancy that, and I'm still alive too. Just survived another night on the beach. Can't remember the name of it, down on the south east coast of Laos for the past couple of weeks. So much for hoping, but even the cutthroats leave me alone here. What does a guy have to do to get a ceremonial beheading?!?!
